6. Mussel bakes with Jenn

Every now and then (usually when we were feeling the money pinch) Jenn and I would buy up four or five pounds of mussels at the grocery store for, like, six bucks. 5. Candlepin bowling.

They have five pin out here, which is sort of like candlepin except with just five pins (obviously) which have a crazy rubber ring around each of them, so they look sort of like little ballerinas. Nobody really plays that, though. Mostly it's all ten pin, with the big heavy balls that break you fingers. I like the wee balls!

4. Big, greasy party pizzas.

Sure, Vancouver has lots of pizza places. But the BC version of a large pizza is, like a 12 or 14 inch. That's the biggest they come. That's right. They don't have them out here. They don't even exist as far west as Ontario, so they REALLY don't have them out here. ... In, you know, over fifty days. I'll be home on the 8th of July, in time for Suman's wedding (so no changing the date now, Suman!). It's a shame Benn can't come, but RBC won't let him off in the middle of the summer (hence the bizarre March/April vacation that we took). We bought the plane tickets yesterday.
